FIRST HAND

Robot PR2 is a helper robot who, in real life can assist people who may have disabilities with daily activities such as pouring water, retrieving items from drawers and/or cupboards, folding laundry, flipping pancakes and other household tasks which may need assistance.

This video is a fictional story highlighting the assistive abilities of PR2 while focusing on real-world implications of character design. What may be ideal design from a utilitarian standpoint may be unacceptable based on the individual needs and background of those whom the robot is enlisted to help.
